Since the inflatable planetarium dome was used for projection or movie playback on, so it required the dome with internal smooth surface, and the dome should be opaque. And the dome usally need to move one place to another, that required the dome must be lighter for transportation. Most important, is that to keep the safety for the people who are in the dome.
To meet above all requirement, we have used very special fabric as raw material for the dome.
The fabric was coated with a white grey layer which specialy for movie playback on, the fabric is very soft, so the stiching can be very smooth. After sticthing the dome, we should cover the stitching place with the fabric,so to ensure the dome was totally opaque even under sun light. For easy transportation, the fabric is very lighter, a 5M dome was about 35kgs. that really an easy traverling dome. As the fabric is flame-resistant, so it can ensure the safety if any emergencies happened.
